The Birmingham & Black Country Drums Aloud Project for djembe & sabar
Drums Aloud is an arts organisation whose aim is to bring West African drumming (djembe, dundun & sabar), singing & dancing as well as a deep understanding of the associated cultural traditions of West Africa to Birmingham, the Black Country and surrounding areas.
If you would like to learn West African drumming, dancing & singing, then we provide expert tuition, which is authentic, instructive and a lot of fun.
Our teachers are West African masters of djembe, dundun, sabar & dance as well as UK practitioners who have studied extensively with West African teachers, including travelling to and learning in West Africa.
